To The Rescue! is the Humane Society of the United States’ signature event benefiting the rescue, care and placement of thousands of animals every year. As being the producer of this annual New York gala for nearly a decade, Eventique is always reinventing how the event looks and feels, and assuring that the gala sets its sights to the future of the organization.

For the 2017 gala, Eventique created a custom Virtual Reality station, where guests were immersed in rescue missions with the Humane Society team.

The custom table centerpieces — a triage of LED-lit, enclosed pedestals — revealed vegan cupcakes from celebrity chef, Chloe Coscarelli, in an instantaneous dramatic move by the waiters.

The stage backdrop was designed to bring the animals at the core of the rescue missions into the room, deepening the connection between the cause of Humane Society and the gala attendees.

Guests and honorees included Rob Thomas and his wife Marisol, Georgina Bloomberg, Kate Mara, Malin Akerman, Dylan Lauren, Suzy Welch, Peter Max, and Amanda Hearst, among many others. The night was topped off by a performance from Rob Thomas.

To The Rescue! 2017 was a particularly poignant fundraiser, as Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria wreaked havoc on both humans and animals; the positive outcome being that Humane Society raised more funds that night than any other event in the organization’s history.
